Star Lake Cottages has a rich history that began in 1948 when George and Elsie MacDonald first founded this lakeside retreat. Decades later, in 1989, Don and Bev Sinclair took ownership and welcomed family and friends into their adventure, allowing them to share in the experience of cottage life. Their vision was simple yet impactful: provide an affordable place where loved ones could enjoy summer getaways and eventually have a place to retire. For many years, Star Lake Cottages featured a fully stocked general store and gas pumps, serving both summer visitors and winter snowmobilers with care and enthusiasm. Although the store and gas pumps are no longer part of the property, the sense of community and dedication to the lake lifestyle remain.

Today, Star Lake Cottages is owned and operated by families who share a deep love for the lake, the outdoors, and the timeless joys of cottage living. Whether it's watching the sunrise over the water, enjoying a lazy afternoon by the shore, or gathering around a campfire, the spirit of family, friendship, and appreciation for nature is at the heart of everything we do.
